Send your site details, plans or photos through our quote form.
A structural engineer reviews your project information and site conditions.
We develop the structural design for your pool and any retaining required.
Calculations are prepared to support the design and documentation.
Construction-ready drawings and supporting documentation are issued.
You receive the complete engineering package for construction and council.
Difficult sites
Many of the pools we engineer aren’t on flat, open blocks. We regularly work on:
Pool types
We engineer fixed pool structures — concrete, fibreglass and other pools that require structural engineering — not ordinary above-ground pools.
Why Pool Engineers
A pool holds tonnes of water in ground that moves. Soil type, slope, boundaries and the water table all change what the shell and any retaining have to do — so we design for the site in front of us, not a standard detail.
Your drawings and calculations are prepared and signed off by an engineer registered to do it — not a drafter working from a template.
No account manager in between. When a question comes up on site, it goes to the person who did the work.
We coordinate directly with your pool builder, designer and certifier so nothing stalls between parties.
Indicative costs are on the site, not held back behind a callback.

Structural design and drawings · Middle Park VIC
Structural drawings for a partly above-ground concrete pool in Middle Park VIC: a 200 mm reinforced shell on eight screw piers, on a Class P site.
Structural design and drawings · Tallai QLD
Structural drawings for an in-ground concrete pool in Tallai QLD: a 200 mm reinforced shell, 1000 to 1800 mm deep, with skimmer and main drain details.

Send us your existing structural engineering quote and we’ll aim to beat it by 10% on a like-for-like scope — on top of our own fast turnaround.
*Applies to comparable, like-for-like quotes from another registered structural engineer for the same scope of work. Attach your quote when you submit — we’ll confirm it against your project before finalising.
FAQs
Most fixed pools — concrete, fibreglass and other in-ground or partially in-ground structures — require structural engineering to satisfy council and building approval requirements. Ordinary above-ground, non-fixed pools generally don’t.
Typically structural design, structural calculations, engineering drawings and an engineering report. Exact scope depends on your project and site.
Yes — difficult sites, including boundary proximity, slopes and retaining requirements, are a core part of what we do. See our boundary guide for more detail.
Standard projects start from $500; complex projects with retaining, slope or boundary constraints typically run $1,100–$2,400. See our pricing page for details — every project is quoted individually.
